All train lines BLOCKED after incident at Oxfordshire station

Trains to and from Banbury Railway Station have stopped today (Sunday, April 13) after the lines to Leamington Spa have been blocked.
This relates to an issue with the signalling system, which is currently faulty and affecting several services as a result.

A spokesperson for Chiltern Railways on Sunday said: “Apologies, due to a fault with the signalling system between Banbury and Leamington Spa, all lines between these stations are blocked.”
With large numbers of customers and services affected, a second update was then issued regarding ticket use.
The spokesperson for Chiltern Railways added: “Due to the disruption between Banbury and Leamington Spa, you can use your Chiltern Railways ticket at no extra cost on Avanti West Coast services operating between Coventry, Milton Keynes Central and London Euston stations.”
