The Freeland campaign told Global News that the Elections Canada figures are “incomplete.” A source in the campaign said they have 2,000 donors and have raised a total of nearly $600,000.

The campaign said the Liberal party has not yet remitted some contributions the Freeland camp collected through direct donations to the party over the financial reporting period — which would mean hundreds of thousands of dollars were not captured in Tuesday’s numbers.

The data covers any funds gathered from supporters from the first day of the contest to four weeks before the party’s voting day on March 9.
