You can now hire an F150 Lightning for A$200 per day in Sydney – techAU

Ford has never officially released the F150 Lightning in Australia, but there’s a growing number making their way onto Australian roads, thanks to AusEV.

AusEV are responsible for importing the vehicles from overseas, then performing right-hand drive conversions.

Now the first Ford F150 Lightning ute is available to rent via evee.com.au

If you (or your business) are on the fence about paying the premium price to own the F150 Lightning in Australia, it may make sense to rent one for a few days to understand it, but committing to the purchase.

The price tag for a F150 Lightning starts at A$169,900 before on-road costs, or A$184,900 for the extended range edition that offers up to 515km of range.

The exclusive partnership between AusEV and Evee means the Ford F-150 Lightning is now available for hire in Sydney. To celebrate, Evee are offering a limited-time launch price of just $200 per day.

Now while that’s the headline, the detail shows a slightly higher price in reality.

I entered a start date of March 10th, and end date of March 11th (10am-10am) which resulted in a price tag of A$252 for 1 day. Included in this price is Insurance and taxes.

There are a couple of conditions to be aware of, firstly, the minimum driving age is 30 years old, you driving is limited to 150km per day, with additional kilometres charged at a rate of A$0.80 per km.

You also need to ensure you return the vehicle with at least 50% charge level or fees may apply.
